This exclusive, limited edition print signed by P. Buckley Moss is one of only 351 prints produced for WVPT. This print is only available at WVPT.
Each year for the past 27 years, world-renowned artist P. Buckley Moss has created an original watercolor especially for WVPT—Virginia's Public Television. Each year, prints of the original are made and sold exclusively through WVPT to support the broadcast of culturally enriching programs and series on WVPT. Known as "The People's Artist," P. Buckley Moss is a patron of the arts and is a champion for children with learning disabili\ties.
"Winter" is the third of four prints in the Four Seasons series that artist P. Buckley Moss created exclusively for WVPT—Virginia’s Public Television. This print features a delightful bank-barn, which is typical of the rural Shenandoah Valley heritage that the artist depicts. A large, dramatic tree in tan and white dominates the foreground. Beyond the trees and open barnyard sits a picturesque barn with its bricks partially covered by wind-swept snow. Ice crystals cling to the shrubbery and smaller trees on either side of the barn and a light dusting of snow fills the crevices of the time-worn stone fence. At twilight, teal-colored shadows are cast in the foreground. The barn is crested by the peach-colored hues of the horizon and a teal-colored evening sky completes this tranquil scene.
