Each year for the past 27 years, world-renowned artist P. Buckley Moss has created an original watercolor especially for WVPT—Virginia's Public Television. Each year, prints of the original are made and sold exclusively through WVPT to support the broadcast of culturally enriching programs and series on WVPT. Known as "The People's Artist," P. Buckley Moss is a patron of the arts and is a champion for children with learning disabili\ties.
"Summer Haven" is the second of four prints in the Four Seasons series that artist P. Buckley Moss created exclusively for WVPT—Virginia’s Public Television. P. Buckley Moss has chosen an old farm house bring warmth to the country scene at Grandma's house. The name—“Summer Haven”—conveys the peaceful nature of the pastoral scene. Large trees with leafy green foliage stand at each side of the house, offering shade and relief from the afternoon sun overhead. Smaller trees fill in around the sides of the house. Shrubbery accents the front porch and a white fence in the foreground of the large yard surrounds the quiet, serene estate. Pale blue and peach highlights are part of the seasonal sky.
